    BDS ACTIVITY (CALLS FOR BDS)
    11/12/15 – College of Staten Island SJP was one of 10 local SJP chapters endorsing an advertisement for a rally that contained several classic and contemporary antisemitic tropes: it called CUNY’s leadership “the Zionist administration” and claimed that the administration “reproduces settler-colonial ideology throughout CUNY through Zionist content of education”; it suggested that the administration’s ties to israel were responsible for tuition hikes; and it claimed that the birthright trips and study abroad programs in Israel were in “occupied Palestine,” effectively denying the existence of the Jewish state. In addition, one of the endorsers’ demands included on the advertisement was that CUNY “divests from Israel, companies that maintain the Zionist occuption.”
    ANTISEMITIC EXPRESSION:DENY JEWS SELF-DETERMINATION3/1/16 – SJP members presented in support of a “one state solution” to eliminate Israel as a Jewish country.
    DEMONIZATION;
    DELEGITIMIZATION;
    BDS ACTIVITY (CALLS FOR BOYCOTT)
    1/14/15 – Students for Justice in Palestine at the College of Staten Island was one of the signatories of a statement entitled “Say No to Faithwashing: Boycott Muslim Leadership Initiative,” which falsely accuses Israel of “ethnic cleansing” and “apartheid,” and pledges commitment to “the BDS call.”

    New York Post – ‘Jew haters’ spread fear at CUNY colleges
    (Description note, “Among the incidents cited by the group: At John Jay College, which specializes in criminal justice, Jewish students have been the target of so many slurs that at lease three have transferred. One John Jay administrator responded to a Jewish student’s concerns by saying, “What are these white kids complaining about?” On Nov. 12 at Hunter College, during a demonstration for free tuition, Jewish students were denounced as “racist sons of bitches,” “fascists” and “Nazis” and were greeted with comments such as “Jews out of CUNY.” One student tweeted at the time, “Full-blown anti-Semitism allowed at my college . . . I witnessed this and froze in fear.” At Brooklyn College, the pro-Palestinian group disrupted a faculty meeting last week and called a professor wearing a yarmulka a “Zionist pig.” Brooklyn College slammed the “hateful” comments and the disruption. At The College of Staten Island, a pro-Palestinian demonstrator told a Jewish student last November, “I don’t hug murderers.” Swastikas also defaced the college’s desks and walls.”)

    April 13, 2015: Yeshiva University Observer – As Anti-Israel Sentiment on College Campuses Reaches All-Time High, Anti-Semitism Takes its Place (Description note, “Stacey Weiner, a junior at the College of Staten Island, said that she has witnessed anti-Semitic remarks firsthand. “I’ve seen videos that have taken place in the center of our campus where there are anti-Semitic rallies promoting how Jewish people suffocate the Arabs in Israel, holding them hostage and not allowing them to leave Israel for labor or college.” She also heard about an experience from her friend when he was walking to a night course. Some kids approached him and started taunting him, asking if he was going to blow up the building [alluding to Israel’s summer war in Gaza]. Although this was a simple comment, Stacey said, it had the power to evoke a lot of fear in this friend of hers. Despite all this hardship, Stacey looks to the positive, striving to show the world how Jewish people “are not exactly always portrayed in a correct fashion. I give them the opportunity to see past the extremist or past the unreligious. I show them a nice view of Judaism as someone who is proud to be who they are. I try to show my peers that just because I am Jewish does not mean I am a bad person, it means that I am different and proud to be different.”)
