AMCHA Unveils Four New User-Friendly Interactive Maps

AMCHA Initiative is proud to unveil our Interactive Mapping Portal, which is comprised of four new user-friendly and interactive maps that give viewers the ability to visually understand the distribution and geographical patterns of antisemitic activity on U.S. college and university campuses.

One of AMCHA’s main goals is documenting and exposing antisemitic activity, and conveying the information we collect in useful ways. We hope these new education and research tools will prove very helpful to advocacy organizations, government officials, university administrators, researchers and concerned parents, students and university stakeholders.

The four maps include:

  • An Antisemitism Tracker Map which details all types of anti-Semitic incidents that occurred on U.S. college and university campuses between 2015-present.
  • A Swastika Tracker Map which documents all swastikas and graffiti, signs, posters or letters found on campus between 2015-present that call for the killing of Jews. Some recent examples from 2016 include, “Kill all kikes,” “Gas Jews die,” and “Gas the kikes.”
  • A BDS Scorecard Map which depicts the voting results of campus BDS resolutions from 2012-present.
  • An Academic Boycott Map which is comprised of faculty members who have signed one or more public documents endorsing an academic boycott of Israel.  This map also contains subdivisions that calculate the number of faculty boycotters per school.

NEW Photo Gallery Added

As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words…

In addition to AMCHA’s Antisemitism Mapping Portal, AMCHA has added a new Campus Antisemitism Photo Gallery section to our website and Facebook page with images that document antisemitic activity in 2017. The photo gallery will serve as a clearinghouse for the myriad of images of campus incidents posted online and organizes them into a single easy-to-find location. Through the webpage, students will also be able to submit photos of the antisemitism they witness.
