Recently Amcha Initiative informed San Francisco State University officials that General Union of Palestine Students (GUPS) President Mohammad G. Hammad had posted a picture of himself wielding a knife with the caption “I love this blade…it makes me want to stab an Israeli soldier.”

Now Mohammad G. Hammad has put a name and a face to the soldier he would like to kill in one of his Tumblr posts – where he directly threatened the life and encouraged the harassment of a specific IDF soldier:

“I’m sitting here looking through pictures of that fucking scum [NAME REMOVED TO PROTECT THE SOLDIER] ….Anyone who thinks there can be peace with animals like this is absolutely delusional, and the only “peace” I’m interested in is the head of this fucking scum on a plate, as well as the heads of all others like her, and all others who support the IDF

The Liberation of Palestine can only come through the destruction and decimation of this Israeli plague and it can’t possibly come soon enough.”

In his post, Mohammad G. Hammad encouraged his followers to harass the female IDF soldier, linking to her Facebook page. He later followed up by re-blogging his post and adding the comment:

I’m really hoping that some of you left this piece of scum some kind messages

Amcha Initiative co-founders have notified SFSU President Wong and other University officials.

This activity follows on the heels of previous antisemitic and threatening actions by GUPS members, including a GUPS event on November 7th 2013 in which stencils glorifying the murder of Jews were used.

Amcha Initiative will continue to monitor the antisemitic activity at San Francisco State and to urge University administrators to investigate this University-funded student organization and its leadership.
